The clinic also offers the Pit Pals program where Pit Bulls can be spayed/neutered for $50. The catmobile is a mobile spay/neuter program providing low cost spay/neuter, rabies vaccine and nail trim package for owned cats – $120 for female cats; $80 for male. You can book an appointment online 24/7 at or by phone at 978-465-1940. This program is run by the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society which also offers Sunday Spay/Neuter Clinics for feral and un-owned cats in partnership with the MSPCA in Methuen; these cats are brought in by volunteer trappers and are treated and returned to the colony where they were trapped.

Merwin Memorial Free Clinic for Animals, Inc. provides free office visits and free outpatient veterinary services.  These can include routine physical examinations, vaccinations, nail cutting and recommendations for how people can best care for their animals.  Merwin also provide medicines to cure sick animals, such as antibiotics, free of charge.  (Preventative medicines, such as heartworm pills and vaccines, are available at reduced rates.) Please note that the clinic does not accept appointments. Visitors are helped on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive at least one hour prior to closing. Commonwealth Cats provides spay, neuter and vaccination clinic services for feral cats. Our clinic programs are designed for caretakers and trappers who are competent in the care of feral cats and understand the issues surrounding their needs. Clinics are hosted throughout the year at various locations including Methuen, Boston, Weymouth and Brockton.
