Pet of the Month

Winnie is an adult female Pit bull mix awaiting placement at Brockton Animal Control. She was found tied to a fence post in a backyard in the city. Winnie was terrified upon her first days at the shelter but warmed up quickly after interacting with all of the officers. Even with her initial caution Winnie passed her behavior evaluation with concern only for her nervous behavior behind the boundary in her early days at the shelter. She found comfort in social interactions with a few other fellow dogs at the shelter, all mutually relieving their kennel stresses through an enriching social greet and play. Winnie delivers an enormous magnitude of affection and sweetness with a very manageable energy. She has a playful side that caters to her eagerness to engage with her human with wonderful focus and energy. She calms wonderfully and will melt in your lap with ease..and literally take your breath away with her robust body! She is an incredibly kind natured dog who will honor the notion of man's (or woman's) best friend. Please contact Brockton Animal Control with any interest at tcabana@cobma.us or 508.580.7835.
